Questions to consider

Why waterproofing floor coating matters

Water damage costs money in property damage, equipment damage, shutdowns and higher insurance. We evaluate your facility and design a system that protects the building and everything in it.

Mechanical room waterproofing

Mechanical rooms hold the plumbing and HVAC for commercial buildings, in basements, on ground levels or on top floors, and every floor below needs protection from leaks. We seal penetrations, install flexible cove and integral base at all vertical surfaces, and use a plasticized epoxy or urethane to form a bathtub that directs water to drains.

The material must not corrode, crack or turn brittle, and it must meet manufacturer mil thickness requirements. Details decide the result: sealing penetrations, treating and isolating cracks, sealing expansion joints, fiberglass reinforcement and coving.

Waterproofing wood subfloors

Wood subfloors must be stiffened first, with a minimum thickness of 1 1/4 inches (1 1/2 suggested) to limit movement. We pretreat joints with waterproof material and fiberglass mesh, lay fiberglass across the whole floor and encapsulate it in the base coat, add an intermediate coat, then cove and base. Almost any resinous floor can go over the finished waterproof epoxy floor coating.

Decks, parking structures and more

We waterproof parking structure decks and stairs, deck and breezeway coatings, commercial kitchens with wood subfloors and mechanical rooms. Professionally installed, a waterproof coating can meet each of those needs.
