Concrete grinding and sealing gives you a durable, affordable floor without full polishing.
Denver, Colorado Springs and the Front Range
Concrete grinding and sealing prepares the slab and coats it with two or three thin layers of epoxy or urethane. We adjust the grinding and finish to how the floor is used, with acrylic, water-based epoxy, water-based urethane or high traffic urethane.
Grind and seal suits many of the same spaces as polishing, usually at lower cost and with a faster turnaround. Choose a natural finish in any sheen, or add dyes and stains for a decorative look. Consider how lighting, windows and low mood lighting will reflect off the floor before you pick a sheen.
Slabs that have had carpet, tile and VCT installed and removed over the years carry stains, repairs and adhesive patterns. Grinding and sealing is a good alternative where those floors are hard to polish. The finish shows tile and glue patterns, patches and old wall scars, a rustic look at a friendly cost.
Old, damaged or elevated poured-in-place concrete can turn soft and dusty, which makes it hard to polish. After prep and patching, we apply water-based epoxy at generous spread rates so it penetrates, stabilizes the concrete and stops dusting. Water-based urethane or high traffic urethane (HTU) topcoats finish the floor with thin, breathable coats that keep costs down.
Finish with a clear coat for a natural concrete look, or add pigment for a solid color. Every slab ends up with its own appearance.
