Seamless Floor
For years, seamless systems have been used in industrial settings for both its affordability and durability. Seamless floors range from being as hard as concrete surfaces to flexible systems and also soft, sound dampening floors. Applying a seamless cove base to your sealed concrete floor creates an area that will clean easily and contain any spills.

Seamless floors Advantages:
Just because a seamless flooring system is extremely durable and can be used for industrial flooring applications, doesn’t mean it can’t look good too. As the designer appeal of seamless floors has increased, more and more concrete finishes are being use to achieve beautiful floor finishes in offices, retail spaces, restaurants and even private homes.
Decorative concrete finishes are a great way to get a functional and aesthetically pleasing floor system. Colored quartz aggregate or varying sizes of multicolored vinyl chips bring depth to the floor to create an attractive and tough wearing surface. A seamless floor system provides and easy to clean surface with good durability, chemical and stain resistance, and protection from the environment.

Seamless Floors:
Seamless Floors uses:
If you have concrete surfaces that have already been damaged, it’s not too late. Depending on the type of damage, the concrete might be able to be cleaned, repaired or some grinding to the substrate may be able to minimize the problem areas before a seamless system is applied. As professional installers, Western Concrete Coatings is able to assess the type of damage and decide if it can be repaired. Some damage can be camouflaged, as well, by using decorative options like vinyl chip or quartz to cover stains or fill in some of the cracks.
It should be noted that most seamless floor systems will require moisture vapor transmission (MVT) testing prior to installation. Most seamless floor systems are not considered a moisture blocking or moisture control materials. If environmental conditions change at any point before or after installation, this can affect MVT.
Another test that can be required for installing these seamless floor systems is a relative humidity (RH) test that measures moisture content that is part of the concrete itself. This test uses RH probes that are set into a drilled hole in the concrete.
If concrete testing shows MVT testing that exceeds 3 pounds or RH testing that exceeds 75%, a moisture mitigation or moisture control system will need to be applied or installed prior to installation of the seamless floor system.
